All tournament organizers, affiliates, influencers, streamers, sponsors, and contributors operate as independent parties. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, franchise, or agency relationship between AEU and any such party.
You are solely responsible for your own taxes, insurance, licenses, permits, expenses, and compliance obligations arising from your activities on or in connection with the platform.
MEDIA, STREAMING, AND BROADCAST RIGHTS

AEU does not verify, endorse, or guarantee statements, promises, representations, or commitments made by tournament organizers, sponsors, affiliates, influencers, or other users.
You acknowledge that any reliance on third-party representations is at your own risk, and AEU shall not be liable for losses arising from reliance on such statements.
BETTING AND GAMBLING DISCLAIMER
AEU does not operate or facilitate gambling. AEU is not responsible for betting decisions or outcomes based on platform data, content, or events. Users are responsible for compliance with local laws regarding betting, wagering, and age restrictions. Any third-party betting-related services are independent of AEU and are governed by their own terms.
VIRTUAL WALLET, CREDITS, AND NON-CASH BALANCES
If AEU enables a virtual wallet, credits, tokens, or stored balances, such balances are provided for platform use only, are not insured deposits, are not legal tender, and do not earn interest. AEU may impose limits, expirations, and non-transferability rules. Balances obtained through fraud or policy violations may be revoked.
CONTENT MODERATION AND ENFORCEMENT
AEU may, but is not obligated to, monitor content or activity on the platform to enforce these Terms, tournament rules, sponsor standards, and community guidelines. AEU reserves the right to remove, restrict, disable, or reject any content or account activity at any time, including user-generated content, tournament assets, sponsor placements, usernames, and team assets. AEU may restrict specific features (chat, uploads, tournament entry, sponsoring, payouts, organizer tools) without fully terminating an account.
ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS BASED ON REPORTS AND DETECTION SYSTEMS
AEU may initiate enforcement actions based on user reports, organizer reports, sponsor reports, automated detection systems, integrity tools, data analysis, or internal review processes. Enforcement actions may include warnings, content removal, temporary holds, feature restrictions, tournament disqualification, result reversals, payout delays, suspension, or permanent account bans.

These Terms of Use and your use of the Amateur Esports Union's Website are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California applicable to agreements made and to be entirely performed within the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
The Amateur Esports Union believes that most conflicts can be resolved amicably and inexpensively. In the event of a dispute arising from the use of the Amateur Esports Union's website, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve it informally. Written notice must be provided to the other party, and informal negotiations must take place for at least 30 days before any arbitration can begin, except for those disputes specifically excluded below.
If informal negotiations fail to resolve the dispute, the parties agree to submit the dispute to binding arbitration, with the exception of disputes concerning intellectual property rights, allegations of theft, piracy, invasion of privacy, or unauthorized use, and claims for injunctive relief. The arbitration will be conducted under the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") and, when appropriate, the AAA's Supplementary Procedures for Consumer-Related Disputes ("AAA Consumer Rules").
Arbitration can be conducted in person, via submission of documents, by phone, or online. The arbitrator will make a written decision, but is not required to provide a statement of reasons unless requested by either party. The arbitrator must comply with applicable law, and any award may be challenged if the arbitrator fails to do so. Unless otherwise stated by the applicable AAA rules or applicable law, the arbitration will take place in Los Angeles County, California. Parties may litigate in court to compel arbitration, stay proceedings pending arbitration, or to confirm, modify, vacate, or enter judgment on the award entered by the arbitrator.
If, for any reason, a dispute proceeds in court rather than arbitration, the dispute shall be commenced or prosecuted in the state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and both parties hereby consent to, and waive all defenses for lack of personal jurisdiction and forum non convenes with respect to venue and jurisdiction in such state and federal courts. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and the Uniform Computer Information Transaction Act (UCITA) do not apply to these Terms of Use.
Both parties agree that any arbitration will be limited to the dispute between the parties individually. To the fullest extent permitted by law, (a) no arbitration shall be joined with any other proceeding; (b) there is no right or authority for any dispute to be arbitrated on a class-action basis or to utilize class action procedures; and (c) there is no right or authority for any dispute to be brought in a purported representative capacity on behalf of the general public or any other persons.
No dispute related to the Amateur Esports Union's website may be commenced more than one year after the cause of action arose. If any provision of this agreement is found to be illegal or unenforceable, neither party will elect to arbitrate any dispute falling within that portion of the provision found to be illegal or unenforceable, and such dispute shall be decided by a court of competent jurisdiction within the courts listed for jurisdiction above, and both parties agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of that court.
ARBITRATION GOVERNED BY FEDERAL LAW
This arbitration agreement is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act ("FAA") and evidences a transaction involving interstate commerce. The arbitrator shall apply applicable substantive law consistent with the FAA, and any award may be enforced in a court of competent jurisdiction.
